For bringing the latest in medical advances through clinical trials to some 400 patients, St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, California will be one of only six medical centers awarded national recognition from the American Society of Clinical Oncology‘s Conquer Cancer Foundation.

The Clinical Trials Award will be formally presented to St. Joseph Hospital at the American Society of Clinical Oncology annual meeting in Chicago on June 5, 2011.

In his role as Co-Principal Investigator for the National Cancer Institute Community Cancer Center Program at St. Joseph Hospital, breast cancer surgeon Dr. Jay Harness plays a significant role in identifying and recruiting patients for medically advanced clinical trials for the treatment of breast cancer.
