For Men With BRCA Genes, Preventative Mastectomy Is Prevention Option

Not only can men get breast cancer, men can also carry the so-called BRCA breast cancer genes.

In this report from CBS News, this fact leads some men to have preventative mastectomies.

A mutation in the genes known as BRCA 1 & 2 put women at much greater risk for breast and ovarian cancer.

Men also have breast tissue, and can be carriers of these same genes.
